ATRO’s installation tools will install/remove OE bushings and/or ATRO bushings. Remove the alignment pins when installing/removing the ATRO “Easy Install” bushings which don’t have voids. Conversely, the OE tool can be used to install/remove both OE and ATRO; simply remove alignment pins from the rear drive plate before attempting ATRO “Easy Install” installation/removal.

These suspensions feature a “tri-functional” bushing. It controls three road forces:

• Vertical forces absorbed to reduce stress on the axle
• Horizontal movement during braking and acceleration
• Roll stability to maintain control while turning

Problem: The OE rubber bushing can be difficult to install because it has an oversized outer diameter in order to achieve a press fit into the axle beam and to compress the rubber to a hardness that will carry the load. The voids then allow for movement in the bushing.

Solution: ATRO replacement bushings simplify installation with a unique “Easy Install” solid bushing that requires less compression to install and allows free-rotation of the pin to eliminate torsional stress instead of using voids.

1) "Easy Install" replacement bushings

• Solid bushing without voids
• Outer diameter significantly smaller than OE rubber bushings (nearly 1" smaller O.D.)
• The inner sleeve freely rotates to eliminate torsional stress (eliminating the need for voids)
• Chemically-resistant polyurethane material

• Outer diameter is slightly smaller than OE rubber bushings

Tri-functional bushing

• Mode of failure: bushing tube spacers melt, inner sleeve separated from rubber.
• Cause: excessive vertical movement of suspension arm caused buildup of excessive heat
• Note: check to see if tires are out of balance or if shocks have failed
